Dataminers found hidden files about the DPC season in the Dota 2 client
A little more than a week has passed since the release of the 7.28 Mistwood patch. And all this time, the dataminers didn't rest but found all the hidden files in the game client. And they managed to find a lot of interesting facts about the new DPC season.
Despite Valve's silence, we can already say that a new menu related to Dota Pro Circuit will be added to the game client. It will include links to teams, players, standings, and match schedules. It seems like Valve wants to display all information about the season right in the game client.
Another interesting point is related to the possible addition of a compendium analog. The files contain features that Valve uses for The International Battle Pass. It includes the ability to choose a "favorite team" and the option to "become a fan," as well as the currently unknown "teamfancontent" feature.
Perhaps the new feature is something that was introduced in 2012 when Valve tried to help monetize teams by selling banners to fans. But this feature didn't take root and was removed.
The new season of the Dota Pro Circuit should start on January 18, 2021. At the moment, this is all the information about the event, but Valve promised to tell all the details just before its start.
