Former Virtus.pro CEO falls under US sanctions

Former head of Esports organization Virtus.pro Anton "Sneg1" Cherepennikov fell under the sanctions imposed by the U.S. State Department. Information is available on the official website of the department.
In 2011, Cherepennikov revived the Virtus.pro tag, where he assumed the position of CEO. He remained in that position until 2019. He also had a hand in creating the ESforce holding company, which previously included Oleksandr "ZeroGravity" Kokhanovskyj, founder of Natus Vincere.
During the time Cherepennikov managed Virtus.pro, the Dota 2 and CS:GO teams have become some of the most famous in the world. The teams have won large tournaments and majors over the years.
