OG is ready to open a second Dota 2 roster
OG CEO Juan "JMR" Luna said during a podcast on the YouTube channel that the organization might open a second Dota 2 roster as early as next year.
Juan "JMR" Luna:
I'm already waiting for my common sense to say: "OK, we should have two OGs." I'm not sure if that will be the case, but it feels like we'll have two OGs next year. And the only reason that stops is that only one of them will be able to go to TI. But is this a problem? If you have two teams that can go to TI (of course, I think we can), then we can find a solution.
Previously, OG had 2 rosters on Dota 2. In 2019, the organization opened the OG Seed roster, which existed until June 2020. The main reason for its closure was the uncertainty on the competitive scene after another postponement of The International and a ban from tournament organizers for several teams of the same organization to participate in the same championships at once.
