Overview of DPC China Division One Matches for May 30

On May 30, the Chinese DPC featured two matches. Aster.Aries will be facing Piggy Killer, and Azure Ray will look to collect a win against Team Bright.

Aster.Aries 0-2 Piggy Killer

Aster.Aries are sitting 0-5 in the group stage, with 0 maps won. If they don't win this match against Piggy Killer, relegation to Division II will be inevitable for them.

Game 1

The first game of the series was very passive, but a stale game seemed to favor the side of Piggy Killer. Piggy Killer built up a 5,000 net worth lead at the 15-minute mark and eventually took the game at 30. Xwy's Ember Spirit had an exceptional performance, having 0 deaths and dealing the highest hero damage in the game, but it wasn't enough to get Aries their first map win.

Game 2

Game 2 was even up "til the 18-minute mark, with only 1,000 gold separating the two teams. However, Piggy Killer found an excellent pickoff on Xwy's Void Spirit, who was having a good game. From that point on, the game was a disaster for Aster.Aries, and they seemed lost despite their decent start in the game. The DPC Summer season was over for Aries as they tapped out 37 minutes in.

Azure Ray 0-2 Team Bright

Similar to Aster.Aries, Team Bright also has a 0-5 record, and it's do or die against Azure Ray. We all thought Azure Ray would wipe the floor with their opponents this day, but Bright had something else to say.

Game 1 - Game To Watch

In Game 1, Azure Ray had a comfortable 6,000 net worth lead in the 21st minute, and everything was following expectations. Knowing they had the lead, AR dived into Bright's bottom Tier 2 tower, where a huge fight occurred. Somehow, Team Bright took a 4 for 1 exchange in their favor, and the game turned 180 degrees.

Azure Ray could still claim the Aegis for Lou's Medusa to try to salvage the game back and siege Bright's high ground, but again, Bright defended and killed all three AR cores. Team Bright's Morphling snagged the top net worth spot and went on to carry the team to a huge upset win. Hea2t ended the game 16/0/10, a terrific performance from the young player.

Game 2

Everyone thought Game 1 was a fluke, and AR would perform a reverse sweep to win the series. But that wasn't the case. Team Bright had complete control over the game, with an impressive performance from phoenix on his Void Spirit. Team Bright won all the 5-on-5 engagements, allowing them to complete an unbelievable 2-0 upset against Azure Ray.
