Parker-less Heroic Eliminates Team Spirit From BLAST Slam I
Heroic dropped big news that their star carry player, Parker, had been kicked from the team. Most fans thought this was an abysmal move and the end of the team, but Heroic is trying to prove the community wrong.
The South American squad got demolished in Group A, going winless with a 0 - 4 record. This meant they would meet Team Spirit in the Lower Bracket, who went 1 - 3 in the opposite group.
Heroic had firm control of the first game with Yuma’s Alchemist and Davai Lama’s Beastmaster having good games, but the game slipped out of their hands after Team Spirit took an excellent fight at the bottom lane to mount a comeback.
In the second map, Heroic surprised Team Spirit with an unorthodox Slark pick – a very unpopular hero at the moment. Still, the newest Heroic member, Yuma, had a lights out performance, going 21/4/14 to level the series.
The third game was an absolute treat to decide this elimination match between the two teams. It was a back-and-forth game with both teams exchanging gold leads throughout the action-packed game.
However, when it came down to the late game, it was almost impossible for Satanic’s Terrorblade to play against Reverse Polarity and Life Break, as both were BKB-piercing disables. Scofield also played an amazing game on Clockwerk, catching Team Spirit supports and setting up the team for success. In the end, Heroic closed out the game after 60 minutes.
Due to the format of the Blast Slam I, any loss in the Playoffs stage will immediately result in elimination, which is why we are already bidding farewell to the first team – Team Spirit. Heroic continue to fight on, as their next opponents will be PARIVISION.
