Talon and Shopify Rebellion Eliminated From ESL One Raleigh After Day 2
Though we’re only two days into ESL One Raleigh 2025, two teams have already been mathematically eliminated from the event.
In Group A, Talon Esports and Shopify Rebellion have gone 1-7 in maps, and can no longer make it to the Playoffs. The only wins the team got was from a 1-1 draw from playing against each other.
These results mean the remaining four teams in Group A are guaranteed to go into the Playoffs – it’s just a matter of who starts in the Upper and Lower Brackets. However, PARIVISION and Team Spirit are the likely candidates to snag the spots.
Though we have two outliers in Group B, the teams that will be eliminated have not been decided yet. Team Tidebound and Heroic are currently at the bottom with 3 and 2 points, respectively, but the BetBoom Team and Tundra Esports aren’t too far off at 4 points.
The biggest surprise of the event so far is AVULUS. The Western European mix recently brought in two new players, and are boasting a 5-3 record to clinch second place in Group B. Even if they lose their next series 0-2, they are at least guaranteed a tiebreaker for Playoffs advancement.
ESL One Raleigh 2025 is a million-dollar tournament taking place at Raleigh, United States. The event runs from April 7 to 13 and distribute crucial EPT points required to qualify for Riyadh Masters 2025.
