After the postponement of The International 10, August could become the easiest month without any major Dota 2 tournaments. But there will be many events, and we talk about each of them in this article.

    • Prize pool: $50,000
    • Participants: Team Spirit, Tundra Esports, PuckChamp, Winstrike, Hellbear Smashers, Team Unique, Nemiga, Fantastic Five, Chicken Fighters, Spider Pigzs, V-Gaming

Tournament organizer Epic Esports with the Russian Esports Federation launched the first of 5 planned online Dota 2 tournaments. It will feature 11 teams from Europe and the CIS, and the playoff stage will begin on August 4.

This is the 7th season of the BTS Pro Series, hosted by tournament organizer Beyond The Summit. Like last season, the prize pool for Southeast Asia is $50,000. The tournament will feature T1 and Fnatic, who have received invitations to The International 10 already.

BTS Pro Series Season 7: Americas

    • Prize pool: $50,000
    • Participants: beastcoast, Undying, 4 Zoomers, SG-Esports, Team, Arkosh, No Ping, Team Unknown, Infamous, Simply TOOBASED

The second region to host the 7th season of the BTS Pro Series is the Americas. Teams from North and South Americas will compete for the $50,000 prize. As in Southeast Asia, the organizer agreed with teams that have invitations to The International 10. Beastcoast, Undying, and SG-Esports will appear at the tournament.

OGA Dota Pit China Season 5

    • Date: August 7-17
    • Prize pool: $150,000
    • Participants: Invictus Gaming, Vici Gaming, PSG.LGD, Elephant, Team Aster, Royal Never Give UP, Aster Aries, Sparking Arrow Gaming

After a break of 7 months, tournament organizer Dota Pit returned with its 5th season of OGA Dota Pit. This time, all matches will be played exclusively in the Chinese region, and the total prize pool is an impressive $150,000.

    i-League 2021 Season 2

    • Date: August 18 – September 5
    • Prize pool: $186,000
    • Participants: Invictus Gaming, Vici Gaming, Elephant, Team Aster, Royal Never Give UP, Aster Aries, Team Magma

Just a day after the end of OGA Dota Pit China Season 5, the second season of i-League 2021 begins in China. Unlike the first season, which dragged on for 3 months, the second season will run in just 2 weeks. Interestingly, one of the strongest teams in the region, PSG.LGD, declined to participate there.

    ESL One Fall 2021

    • Date: August 21-29
    • Prize pool: $400,000
    • Participants: Unknown yet

ESL One Fall 2021 should be the most exciting tournament in August. Although we don't know the list of participants, we can safely assume that the grandees from Europe and the CIS won't miss the opportunity to compete for the prize of $400,000.

That's how the schedule of the main Esport events in Dota 2 for August looks like now. But other interesting tournaments may be announced in the coming days.
