Romania imposes new restrictions, but they don't affect The International 10
Starting Monday, additional restrictions related to the spread of the pandemic will take effect in Bucharest, Romania's capital. The government is suspending bars, clubs, and other entertainment venues.
Despite the severity of the measures, they don't affect The International 10 because the government has made an exception for sporting events. Spectators who have been fully vaccinated can attend them. The only condition is that the last vaccination must have been given more than 10 days ago.
In August 2021, a new wave of coronavirus infections began in Romania. On September 29, there was a daily record — more than 11,000 infections registered. According to statistics, just over a quarter of the country's population has been vaccinated.
Earlier, it was reported that all members of the team participating in The International 10, Team Aster, tested positive for COVID-19. At the moment, all of them are in isolation, and the fate of their place in the tournament remains in question.
